Club Terms & Conditions

www.macramemakers.club

Our core ethos for Macrame Makers Club is to provide an online platform with access to macrame tutorials, other educational materials and a community of enthusiastic macrame makers and teachers. This document details from the outset the way in which we will deliver our services to you. If you are planning to join Macrame Makers Club or purchasing a singular course from Macrame Makers Club (“the Membership”), then you must read these terms and conditions in full prior to purchasing.

1. Membership Terms & Conditions (‘Terms’): Key Details

These Terms cannot be varied and in proceeding to purchase the Membership or an individual course you will be deemed to have accepted these Terms. The Terms set out below apply to the services offered by Macrame Makers Club. Please read them carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under law and set out the Terms under which Macrame Makers Club (“we”, “our” or “us”) provide services to you, as purchaser of the Membership or an individual course. These Terms are subject to any rights you have under consumer law to which we are bound and which cannot be waived by contract.

Please be aware that we may update these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the website indicates your acceptance of the terms and agreement to any changes.

2. Membership Outline

Macrame Makers Club is a membership platform for learning and improving your technical and creative macrame skills as well as connecting with other like minded macrame makers. The Membership is an ongoing commitment where you can get regular support and guidance.

The aim is to provide access to a range of different online macrame tutorials and guidance on macrame techniques, provided by selected macrame teachers. The information is not tailored to any one person. Whilst it may be useful for those who have been making macrame already for a number of years, the Membership is best suited to those starting out in macrame or those who wish to join a community of makers for ongoing support & inspiration. Should you need specific or bespoke support then please contact us to enquire about our one-to-one services.

Macrame Makers club also provides individual macrame courses for purchase. In this case the buyer will have access to the singular course they purchased and the accompanying knot guides.

3. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to register as a Member.

4. Membership Specifics

There are four elements to the Membership. If you purchased an individual course, this does not apply to you.

  • Monthly Macrame Tutorial
    • Every month, in the beginning of the month, a new macrame tutorial will be released on the membership platform. Tutorials will usually be a combination of video and text, but occasionally there may be tutorials that are presented in the form of photos & text or text only.
The monthly tutorial’s theme can be but is not limited to the following categories: wall hangings, plant hangers, baskets, table decor, accessories, jewellery etc.
The monthly tutorials are made by different macrame artists and teachers. Everyone will have their own style of teaching, but all are quality controlled by Tuija Mantyla.
Difficulty levels for the monthly tutorials  will range from beginner to advanced. Advanced tutorials will have easy explanations included even for beginners, but the techniques may be harder to master.
The content of all resources and training will be provided in English, either spoken or translated in subtitles.
  • Monthly Giveaway
    • In addition to the monthly macrame tutorial there will be a giveaway every month. You'll be able to participate in the giveaway by simply posting a photo in the member's community about what you have been up to this month, such as a photo of your recent macrame work. Winners will be selected randomly in a lottery. The prices are usually gift cards to different online shops (usually macrame related) in varying sums (such as 10-20€). These are all examples, and may change in the future.
  • A Private Members Community
    • You will have access to a private online community to support you during the Membership. The intention is to provide community support and a network of individuals at a similar stage of macrame making and who are facing similar challenges. From time Tuija Mantyla may post and offer support in the forum but there is no guarantee that posts will be responded to immediately.
  • Occasional Bonuses
    • In addition to all the above, there will be additional learning resources added quarterly for members to consider in their own time. The topics for these resources will vary from new knot techniques to masterclasses about things like dying macrame cord or how to stiffen your macrame leaves or things like stretching techniques for macrame makers. These are all examples, not what is actually included or planned for the future.

5. Behaviour

It is requested that at all times your behaviour towards others is polite and respectful. Should your behaviour be deemed offensive or inappropriate we reserve the right to remove you from the Membership with immediate effect.

Each person is responsible for their own behaviour and we will not be held responsible for the behaviour or actions of any other Members.

Direct selling of your products is not allowed in the community forum. However, if someone were to express interest in buying something you have made, then you are allowed to answer that comment.

6. Fees and Payment Terms

The cost of the Membership is set at the time you subscribe and is inclusive of Taxes. On subscription you will agree to monthly payments via Paypal or Stripe which will be taken on  the  same date as your original subscription each month. If you would like us to change the  date of the monthly payments please get in touch.
